William Kentridge - More Sweetly Play the Dance

The noise, vibration, weight and yet also lightness of the pieces being moved around inside the factory, the steam from the drying process, etc., all these elements and factors made the artist pick this space, a junction with no type of construction, just a wall separates the exhibition space from the production area.

The warehouse has been conceived as a space for escape but also reflection: visitors must detach themselves, disconnect, let themselves be guided by the music and the dances of the characters.

But once  the experience is over, the work raises current issues that the artist encourages us to ponder and question. References to epidemics, diseases, migration, political crises or ceremonies mean that, as well as a creation by one of the most outstanding artists, the piece has also become a faithful portrait of the current globalised world.
